The Event is all about the Photo Exhibit of Cebu's Old Churches Heritage. Its a Month long showcase of Inheritance on Old Churches of Cebu. Starts July 3-August, 2009 at Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral Museum. I guess time frames follow for Museum schedules where you can go and watch the Exhibit.
Way back 2006, when I was invited to join a Heritage Visit for the Course Humanities of University of San Carlos. It was a great day-long experience of Revisiting Old Churches from Municipalities of Carcar, Sibonga, Argao, Dalaguete, Alcoy and Boljoon. Were uo to Boljooon becasue were still to go back to Cebu City and its nearly nightime.
Its a great experience indeed to re-embrace Old heritage which is the very obvious evidence of our old Religoius routines and a mark of being a Catholic eversince the start of this Old Churches. You will know why these old churches are made of, how the priest before do the mass inside the church and many more intersting facts. If i am given a chance to revisit it, I woul not hesitate to do it again and I might recommend it to everybody.
All photos on showcase were works from Cebu based Photographers and also happens to be bloggers also: Gibb, Estan and Mark.
There is also an available "Coffee Table Book" where all the showcase Photos will be published. If you want to reserved a copy, just visit http://www.cebuheritage.com/ for more info.
