Aboitiz Race to Reduce will promote Greener Environment for the next Gen!

The Aboitiz Race to Reduce Challenge: A Race for the Next Gen is coming up!
The race, which features four categories – 3k, 5k, 10k and 21k – will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the South Road Properties (SRP) in Cebu City, covering the entire stretch of the SRP until parts of Talisay City. Assembly time is at 4 AM and starting gun fires off at 5:00 AM. A relaxing foot massage, a hearty breakfast, and a photo op in front of the Race to Reduce photo wall await runners crossing the finish line.
Aboitiz Race to Reduce Challenge 2010 will promote Greener Environment.
The “race for the next gen” is part of the Aboitiz Group’s information campaign on its sustainability efforts. “We are not just promoting a healthy lifestyle, we want to leave a good home for the next generation,” said Sebastian Lacson, Aboitiz Equity Ventures Chief Reputation Officer.
Aboitiz companies groupwide are participating in an ongoing Race to Reduce Challenge, which encourages employees to reduce their consumption of power, water, and paper. During the Aboitiz Group simultaneous nationwide tree planting in October 2010, a tree will be planted on behalf of every runner who participated in the race.
The Aboitiz Race to Reduce Challenge: A Race for the Next Gen is also a fund-raising project for the Aboitiz Annual Christmas Outreach to be held in the first week of December. During this event, employees spend time with less fortunate children to spread Christmas cheer and joy.
Timing Chips will be provided for 10K and 21K categories.
Runners for the 10k and 21k will use timing chips for accurate, instantaneous results.
A Photo Contest during the Race to Reduce Challenge 2010.
There will also be a photo contest of interesting images captured during the race as it unfolds. Photographers must register to be able to join the contest. Cash prizes are at stake and winning photos will be published in print and online media.

ReplyDeletei wanna clarify if the results for the timing chips can be seen in aboitiz web sites? Or is it possible to upload to the net the results for 10K and 21K? Because our company is making a deal like for those who can finish 2.5 hours for 21K will receive something.
