Saving Lives, one Toilet at a Time.
Everyone are welcoming the construction of new toilet facilities and the repairs for disease prevention, especially among children. Department of Health disclose that the estimated 3,420 diarrhea-related deaths among Filipino children under 5 years old every year, around 2,000 could have been prevented by access to safe water, improved toilet sanitation and personal hygiene.
People rushing to the streets finding where the sound of a marching band came from. But instead of a Celebrity, what reveals was an unlikely, yet welcome sight a new clean toilet facility.
Produced by Unilever Philippines, the Domex "Fiesta" video available on Youtube shows how underprivileged Filipinos welcome the introduction of clean toilet facilities in their communities. The following video will help the efforts of Domex’s One Million Clean Toilets Movement:
Each unique view will translate into a pledge for the Domex’s One Million Clean Toilets Movement advocacy campaign which collects pledges from households to conscientiously maintain their own hygienic bathrooms. Each pledge received, a P5 will be donated by Domex to UNICEF’s sanitation program, improving access to basic sanitation in deprived areas around the world, including the Philippines.
By watching the video, we are not only raising awareness for toilet appreciation and sanitation, more importantly, we are helping less privileged communities gain access to clean toilet facilities. Show more care to them, Share the Domex Fiesta video to your friends now.
