AMALFI OASIS GROUNDBREAKING, At Citta di Mare, Cebu’s very own City by the Sea
Amalfi Oasis, the first cluster of residential buildings in Citta di Mare held its ceremonial ground breaking activity on Saturday, November 13, 2010. An open house took place before the ground breaking ceremonies at the Amalfi Oasis site. Everyone invited witnessed the momentous occasion. A ceremonial marker was unveiled on-site with Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) vice chairman Mr. Andrew T. Gotianun, Jr., FLI first vice president Tristan Las Marias and special guests of honor Cebu City Mayor Michael L. Rama and CIPC Managing Director Mr. Joel Mari Yu. The day was capped off with cocktails at the Sugbu Building grounds.

Amalfi Oasis is Filinvest’s first offering of mid rise condominium units in Citta di Mare’s 40-hectare residential zone and will be comprised of around 10 to 12 buildings of at least 5 storeys in height. It is aptly named after its inspiration—a quaint seaside Italian community named Amalfi. Like its namesake, Amalfi Oasis is a perfect location where one can enjoy the coastal scenery and also the spectacular views of the mountains.


Citta Di Mare is poised to become a favored destination not only for Cebuanos and other Filipinos but for tourists and other foreign guests as well. Citta di Mare, your new city by the sea, is on the rise. One that is a unique seaside lifestyle that will change the way people live.
The residential zone, where one can find Amalfi Oasis, will contain various mid-rise residential condominium building clusters interspersed with generous open spaces. Only 35% of the residential zone will be used as building footprints, the 65% of the land were internationally dedicated for parks, tree-lined path walks, jogging trails, bike lanes and spot parks as gaps between residential buildings.

The entire residential area will also be car-free, making Citta di Mare truly a distinct pedestrian paradise. Each cluster of condominium buildings will have its own set of amenities- including a swimming pool, a clubhouse and covered activity courts.
Amalfi Building 1 will be constructed over a 12-month period. Filinvest projects to complete the building and turnover the units by December 2011.
Amalfi Oasis is now accepting inquiries and reservations. The number of interested prospects who signified their intention to reserve in Building 1 was overwhleming. Almost all the units in Building 1 have already been accounted for. Filinvest is also ready to open Amalfi Building 2 to interested prospects.
Amalfi Building 1 and Building 2 offer 2-bedroom units (57 sqm) and 3-Bedroom units (113 sqm). Building 1 is expected to start construction by November 2010 and will be available for turnover and occupancy by December 2011.

Its quite difficult to explain,” says Jewelmer’s Retail Manager Catrina Paulino, “it really should be experienced to be fully appreciated.” Paulino goes on, “The Luster for Life exhibit, in particular, shares our brand values in a visual and engaging way.”
First launched in the Marquee mall at Pampanga, the exhibition has since made its way to Glorietta 4 in Makati City before landing in Cebu and will continue making its rounds in premier shopping destinations in the Philippines within the year. “ The Jewelmer showroom in Cebu opened back in 1994. However, this is the first time we brought an exhibit here,” says Paulino.
The Luster for Life exhibit is composed of six main panels: Palawan South Sea pearls, Luster for Life, The Miracle of the Rare Golden Pearl, European Elegance, An Environmental Gem, and A Nation’s Pride Each segment features a combination of vivid imagery and descriptive text. Also included in the exhibit are the actual tools used for pearl cultivation, a pearl diorama, and some unique pieces that are part of Jewelmer’s fine jewelry collections.

The strand necklace is composed of 49 large, natural silvery-blue baroque South Sea pearls set with 18-karat white gold, while an irregularly shaped, large baroque South Sea pearl inspires the body of an bejeweled eagle made of gold and diamonds. Both of these one-of-a-kind pieces were part of a recently concluded international pearl exhibition held in Qatar, UAE.
