Grandest Picnic at Jollibee Family Bee Day held at Plaza Independencia Cebu

Gerald Anderson, Julie Ann San Jose and Sponge Cola thrilled Families and friends at the Plaza Independencia during Jollibee Family Bee Day Grand picnic in Cebu. Families converged in 5 different venues across the country happening simultaneously at the Quirino Grandstand in Metro Manila, Bayanihan Park in Pampanga, Nuvali football grounds in Laguna, and Crocodile Park in Davao.

The Jollibee Family Bee Day event was highlighted by performances from topnotch celebrity guests, live bands, side attractions and overflowing Jollibee treats. Quirino Grandstand participants was entertained by Martin Nievera, Klarisse de Guzman and Callalily while those who trooped to the Nuvali football grounds got star struck with Marian Rivera, Erik Santos and Moonstar 88.

Gerald Anderson cheered up the crowd with a song number.

Yum endorser Julia Barretto, Shaina Magdayao, Rayver Cruz and 6 Cyclemind wowed audiences at the Bayanihan Park while Maja Salvador, Slater Young and Imago entertained Jollibee Family Bee Day picnic-goers at the Crocodile Park in Davao.

Kids had a grand time playing at the inflatable slide and basketball shootout, families also enjoyed posing by the giant picnic basket and special photo frame wall installations to capture the fun moments. Local stilt walkers and jugglers paraded around and dance performances from Jollibee and friends, Jollibee Kids Club members and leading dance crews kept the excitement up throughout the afternoon picnic.

Jollibee PR Manager Dennis Reyes, Jollibee Regional Marketing Officer Leah Sausa, and Jollibee Regional Marketing Manager Nelson Judaya with the band Spongecola, headed by vocalist Yael Yuzon flocked at the giant picnic basket .

Jollibee vice-president for Marketing Harvey Ong said “We are very excited to mount an event of this magnitude that celebrates the Filipinos’ love for bonding over good food. We are very happy with the turnout and pleased to see everyone enjoying the company of other people whom they treat like family. Talagang dito sa Jollibee, ang sarap maging pamilya.”

Celebrities Carmina Villaroel-Legaspi, Regine Tolentino, and Vince and Patricia Hizon also came with their families to have a picnic.

5 Luxury Hotels and a Lifestyle Mall to rise at The Mactan Newtown

In 2018, 5 Luxury Hotels will rise at The Mactan Newtown: 2 of them will be high-rise hotels, Mactan Belmont Luxury Hotel and The Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown; another 2 will be beachfront hotels in the formerly Portofino Beast Resort area facing the Hilutungan Channel and Olango Island and lastly an International Brand luxury hotel is also expected to rise in the township.

The Mactan Newtown will build a 3-level Lifestyle Mall "Plaza Magellan" in 2016 with an iconic entrance plaza facing the famous Liberty Shrine. The mall’s design will be inspired by the hilltop towns of Portugal and Spain, The architecture will feature courtyards and arcaded walkways, ornately framed doors and windows as well as cupolas and towers. Mall's main feature will be a life-sized Spanish Galleon Victoria replica and a Magellan museum. Spanish Steps will also lead visitors to the mall’s main entrance.

The Mactan Newtown will also be building a Hawkers’ Gazebo near the main entrance of the township. It will be covered food strip similar to the famous hawkers of Singapore. The Learn Aspect at The Mactan Newtown will be realized bu opening the Newtown School of Excellence in 2016 supervised by the Lasallian Schools Supervision Office (LASSO).

To date, The Mactan Newtown has 10 luxury condominium towers that includes: 4 towers for 8 Newtown Boulevard with expected completion by 1H2015; 3 towers for One Pacific Residence; and 3 towers for One Manchester Place. The Mactan Newtown residential towers offer pre-furnished units with magnificent views of the Hilutungan Channel on the east and the historic Magellan Bay on the north. GT Inaugurates Bright Academy, newest Learning Institution in Liloan Cebu

Salvane envisions to give back to the community and contribute to the betterment of the society and for her, the better way to do this is to open a school that would promote Academic Excellence and Positive Values. Inaugurated recently, GT Bright Academy is an Educational Institution for Pre-schoolers and elementary pupils in time for the 2014-2015 school year in Liloan, Cebu.

Another services offered by GT Bright Academy is Infant Care infants, 2 months to1 year and will prioritize working mothers who needs to go back to work after giving birth. Infants will be attended to by a Pediatrician, a nurse, and a baby sitter, and their needs: medical, vitamins, food, bath, etc. will be provided by GT Bright Academy.
